The North Bay and District Retriever Training Club was originally formed in the late 1950's under the name Nipissing District Retriever Club, the club flourished for quite a few years but slowly began to dissipate in the late 70's. Then in 1980 amongst a few members they decided to re-open the club as the North Bay and District Retriever Training Club. We now have approximately 16 members. From its core membership, a hard working and dedicated team of workers has been assembled to organize and coordinate this event.
The North Bay and District Retriever Training Club are proud to host the 2010 Canadian National Amateur Retriever Championship near North Bay, Ontario. This is the second time the North Bay club has had the honor of hosting a national event. The club was successful in hosting the National Open Retriever Championships in 2003. The North Bay and District Retriever club anticipates this event to be just as exciting and memorable as the last National. We are expecting another challenging venue for this year and hope that everyone enjoys themselves to the fullest.
